One of the sons of the late Tui Nayau and former President of Fiji, Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara is expected to be the chief guest at the Lau Provincial Council meeting which kicks off this Wednesday.
Roko Tui Lau, Peni Sokia confirmed that either Ratu Finau Mara or Roko Uluilakeba Mara will open the meeting at the Police Academy in Suva.
Sokia said that the election of the chairman and his deputy will be the highlight of the first day followed by the presentations from the GCC Taskforce and the People's Charter team.
Meanwhile, the current chairman, Ratu Josefa Basulu earlier stated that he is likely to step down from the position but will give his full support to his people.
Basulu is also a member of the National Council for Building a Better Fiji.
