A strong second half performance from the Maori All Blacks has seen them edge the Vodafone Flying Fijians 27-26 in a nail biting encounter.
Nemani Nadolo was impressive as he contributed 11 points after scoring a try and kicked two successful penalties.
The Flying Fijians led 26-10 at half time after three impressive tries from fullback Kini Murimurivalu, wing Nemani Nadolo and courageous captain Akapusi Qera.
Rieko Ioane scored the Maori All Blacks only try in the first half while Elliot Dixon and Damian Mckenzie crossed over in the second half to give their team the win.
Fiji failed to put any points on the board in the second half.

The last time the Flying Fijians beat the Maori All Blacks was in 1975.
They will take on Tonga in their opening Pacific Nations cup clash at 3pm next Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
