A number of individuals have come forward and donated money towards the fundraising drive of the Road To Gold project for the men’s and women’s 7s teams for the Rio Olympics.
Fiji Sports Council CEO Litiana Loabuka says the drive started last month with a volunteer fundraising group and they have five more months to go.
Loabuka says she is happy that people have already started coming forward to donate.
Loabuka is calling on members of the public to come forward and donate any amount as this will help the 7s teams quest for gold in the Olympics.
She adds they are targetting to raise $800,000.
