Many people were left stranded trying to get transport to work and school.
People along the Suva Nausori corridor had to wake up earlier this morning to make alternative arrangements to ensure that they were not late for work.
Hundreds of people were seen standing by the side of the road trying to stop mini buses and taxis as there was a mad rush to get transport.
Many are complaining that the action taken by the bus companies was a real hassle especially since so many people rely on buses as their main means of transport.
Fijivillage has also observed that many taxis and mini vans are in a rush leading to most of them speeding to get as many jobs done.

Many frustrated commuters living between the Suva Nausori Corridor are concerned that some minivan and carrier operators have increased their fare from this morning.

In the West people have been left stranded with only the mini-buses, carriers and taxis operating.
Our West reporter Gulsher Ali said people are finding difficulties to find transport and those who are living in isolated areas have to pay more to travel to work.
The only bus company in operation is the West Bus Company but they are only transporting hotel workers to Denarau.
