The Flying Fijian 15's rugby team hope of securing the services of Wales based tight-head prop Deacon Manu for the Northern Hemisphere tour is in doubt.

Manu, who was eyed by coach Samu Domoni Jnr to strengthen the front row is likely to be name by Wales coach Warren Gatland in his side to face the All Blacks next month.

The Welsh are running low on fit front rowers after a spate of injuries to leading props and it seems Manu who has just completed his 3 year residency requirements may have leapt to the front of the queue.

Welsh media are reporting Manu could be the latest foreigner to pull on the famous red jersey when the squad will be announced on Sunday.

Gatland and Manu worked together for the Waikato team in the New Zealand NPC competition.
