Fiji Weightlifter Manueli Tulo's participation in next month's  World Junior Championships is in doubt as the Fiji Weightlifting Association lacks funds to compete in the meet.

Weightlifting Association Secretary Chris Yee said while a lot of work was done in securing Tulo's training with Paul Koffa at the Oceania Centre in New Caledonia, sponsors are still being sought to send him to the Junior Championships next month.

Meanwhile, Tulo bagged Fiji's second Gold Medal at the Arafura Games after he lifted 219kg while competing in the 56kg category.

This afternoon Joe Vueti is expected to take part in the 77kg category.

The World Weightlifting Junior Championships will take place in Romania from June 12-21.
