Deacon Manu is out of the Rugby World Cup frame.
A statement released by Fiji Rugby Union today states that UK-based Manu has informed them that he is definitely unable to take part in the Rugby World Cup in September.
FRU's High Performance Unit Manager Peter Murphy said Manu wrote to him and said that his family commitments prevent him from trying out for the FMF Flying Fijians next week and playing in the World Cup.
The FMF Flying Fijians coach Ilivasi Tabua will have the final trial next week to select his 30-man squad to the Rugby World Cup.
