The Interim Minister for Transport Manu Korovulavula has reversed the decision of the Air Terminal Services board and removed FPSA General Secretary Rajeshwar Singh as the ATS Chairman.
At a press conference this afternoon, Korovulavula revealed that after meeting with the ATS board, it was decided that Manasa Baravilala be appointed Chairman of ATS and Singh be asked to take up the Deputy Chairman's post.
Korovulavula said after his directive, the changes were made during the CAAFI Board meeting this morning and endorsed ATS Board of Directors.
The Interim Minister had earlier revealed that it was never his directive for Rajeshwar Singh to be appointed Chairman and was surprised that the appointment was made.
When contacted this afternoon by Village News, Rajeshwar Singh said he has not received anything official on the decision taken today and will comment later on the matter.
