Manley Sea Eagles have booked their place in the NRL prelim final with South Sydney Rabbitohs after beating the Cronulla Sharks 24-18 last night.

The Sharks looked like they had locked it up at 24-24 with seven minutes to go when skipper Paul Gallen charged over, only for the pocket referee to spot Morris taking out marker Matt Ballin as he attempted to make his way back to dummy half.

Meanwhile tonight at 9.45 defending champions the Melbourne Storm play the Newcastle Knights.

Statistically, the Newcastle Knights don't stand a chance of winning this one.

Their record against the defending champions the Storm in Melbourne is woeful having lost both of their games against the Storm this season.

They were in front, 14-10, at halftime of a 16-14 loss at AAMI Park in Round 14, and also led, 8-4, at halftime of a 23-10 loss at Hunter Stadium in Round 23.

Whoever wins tonight will meet the Sydney Roosters in the first prelim final.
