Manchester City went back to the top of the Premier League as Erling Haaland’s early effort proved enough to beat struggling Southampton 1-0 this morning.

The result extended City’s unbeaten Premier League record to 32 games.

In other matches, Brentford beat Ipswich Town 4-3, Aston Villa and AFC Bournemouth match ended with a 1-all draw, Brighton and Wolverhampton finished 2-all, while Everton and Fulham drew 1-all.

Manchester City is leading the table with 23 points followed by Liverpool with 21 points, Aston Villa is third with 18 points while Arsenal is fourth with 17 points.
