High Court Judge Justice Salesi Temo today told an accused charged with manslaughter to be man enough to come to court and face sentence.

Petaia Vuli has been charged with manslaughter and was earlier released on bail, but has been avoiding court for over a year.

Justice Temo said that the case has been dragged continually, which is not good to the system or the Police.

He remanded Vuli in custody and ordered Police Officers to escort Vuli to the Legal Aid Commission so that Vuli is able to apply for legal aid.

Judge Justice Temo also raised concern on the number of bench warrants executed when an accused person fails to appear in court, adding that these actions cause numerous problems to the Criminal Justice system and encourages more backlogs of cases.
