The 26 year old man who has been charged with causing the death of a 36 year old woman and leaving her 8 year old daughter in hospital in Wairuku Rakiraki is expected to appear in a special court sitting this morning.
Regional Traffic Officer Western ASP Peter Ledua said there is no Magistrate in Rakiraki and they will bring the man to Lautoka where is expected to appear in the Lautoka Magistrate court.
The 26 year old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
The 36 year old woman died instantly on Thursday after the accident while her 8 year old daughter remains admitted at the Lautoka hospital.
Both mother and daughter were hit by the four wheel drive when walking along the road in Wairuku.
According to Police, the driver allegedly lost control of his four wheel which caused the accident.
