While many people have lost all their belongings in fire over the past few days, the National Fire Authority (NFA) had to respond to a fire in Sigatoka after a man set his own house on fire.
NFA said they received a call from the Police yesterday after 9.30am about a fire incident in Namada vilage.
The firefighters arrived at the scene around 10.46am as the house was situated in the interiors.
When the fire fighters arrived at the scene the one bedroom wooden structure had been completely destroyed in the fire.
NFA said the 44 year old man who was drunk at the time set his house on fire and went to the village.
