A 27yr old boat builder was today sentenced to six years imprisonment for robbery with violence.
The Suva High Court was told that John Harry with three friends, robbed a Tebara Busdriver on January 18th in 2008.
Malugu was sitting in the bus which was going towards Nausori, and when it stopped at a bus stop in Kinoya, three of his friends entered the bus armed with cane knives.
The four than threatened the driver and fled the scene with $300 from the driver=s till with some items.
In mitigation, Malugu said he was married and had two children.
However, High Court Judge, Justice Salesi Temo said Malugu had shown total disregard for the drivers safety and his property, and that Malugu is also facing two similar convictions.
