Police have interviewed and released a 55 year old man after he allegedly produced two fake notes in two separate incidences.

Assistant Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the man deposited a fake $50 note into his account yesterday and later used a fake $100 note to pay his FEA bills.

The man was later arrested by police and was taken into custody.

Inspector Sokomuri said the man was released last night however the investigation still continues.

This month a number of fake $10, $20 and $50 notes were circulating in Nabua, Suva, Nakasi and in the Western Division.

Police have once again called on members of the public to take extra precaution while handling money.
