Samabula Police are currently interviewing a 40 year old man of Reservoir Road who was taken into custody for allegedly killing his 32yr old de-facto wife yesterday afternoon.
The crime officers are expected to finish the questioning process later today and charges, if any are expected to be laid by tomorrow.
The alleged incident took place yesterday afternoon after an argument at the couple's home at around 3pm.
The man allegedly got hold of a cane knife and allegedly struck her several times.
A post mortem conducted last night revealed that she died of excessive blood loss due to multiple stab wounds.
