A 20-year-old charged with burglary, robbery with violence and rape appeared in a Special Court sitting in Nadi Court this morning.
The court heard that on 4th March, Josaia Wakawale Tabua forcibly entered the house of a 74-year-old elderly woman and threatened her before robbing her of $150 dollars cash and raped her.
The retired woman was alone at home at the time of the incident.
Tabua today pleaded guilty to the charges and refused to be represented.
He will be sentenced next week.
