A 39-year-old chainsaw operator died yesterday in Drasa, Lautoka, after a tree fell on him.
The man who was working with a logging company failed to run away from the falling tree.
Assistant police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the deceased's work mates rushed him to the hospital but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
A post mortem of the deceased will be carried out today.
