Labasa Police have taken a 21 year old man into custody who allegedly abducted and defiled a 15 year old girl over the weekend.
The man who is from a settlement in Labasa allegedly brought the girl to Suva and defiled her at his relative's place.
The matter was reported to Police by the girl's parents after she did not return home after school last week.
A team of Police Officers arrested the man in Suva yesterday afternoon and took him back to Labasa for questioning.
The girl was also located yesterday afternoon at the man's relatives house and is now being examined at the Labasa hospital.
The man is expected to be charged later today.
