A 40 year old Suva man is in police custody in Lautoka for allegedly terrorizing and robbing a businessman and his family in Vuda, Lautoka earlier this month.

Tupou Vuetaki with five others allegedly robbed the family of cash and other items worth over $50,000.

Vuetaki appeared in Lautoka magistrates court yesterday afternoon and pleaded not guilty. Magistrate John Rabuku remanded him custody till 3rd August.

Police say the Vuetaki is believed to be a well known criminal involved in a number of robbery with violence cases. Hunt for other five suspects are still underway.
