A 55 year old man of Nalovo, Nadi is in police custody for allegedly operating a medical clinic illegally.
Deputy Director Police Operations SP Erami Raibe has confirmed that a raid was carried out at his residence yesterday and police confiscated tablets, syringes, injections and other medical equipment.
According to SP Raibe, complaints were received against the man who allegedly prescribed medication for some people who went to visit him.
It is still unclear how many patients he has seen.
Police are trying to get more details from the people who visited him and are still trying to establish for how long he had been operating.
