A 26 year old man of Seaqaqa is in police custody for allegedly knifing his partner yesterday.
Assistant Police spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed that the man and the 23-year old woman had a heated argument and the man allegedly knifed the woman with a cane knife.
The woman is currently admitted at the Labasa hospital.
Police have called on couples to resolve their disputes in other ways rather than involving themselves in heated arguments and taking law into their hands.
