A 40 year old man of Ba is in police custody for allegedly hacking a taxi driver in Yaladro Ba yesterday afternoon.
Assistant Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri revealed that the taxi driver was unloading goods from his taxi when the 40 year old man attacked him with a cane knife.
The taxi driver sustained serious injuries on his forehead and was transferred to the Lautoka Hospital.
Some villagers who were near the scene managed to overpower the suspect and took him to police.
