Samabula Police are questioning a 26 year old man for allegedly producing fake visas and passports and obtaining more than $100,000 from members of the public.

Police have confirmed that the man who is unemployed was arrested after he sold a fake visa to a man of Suva. The man then produced the visa at the Nadi Airport where Immigration officials ascertained that the visa was fake.

Upon questioning the man, police raided the suspect's house in Samabula and confiscated 5 fake Australian and New Zealand visas and more than 30 passports.

The CID team also confiscated some money from his house.

It is further alleged that the suspect sold a number of fake visas to members of the public who are yet to be identified by police.

He is expected to be charged later today.
