A Labasa man who was convicted of killing his wife in a fit of rage was given a suspended jail sentence.
Judge Justie Isikeli Mataitoga while delivering his ruling said Chandar Deo's 16 year old marriage to Meena Wati was an unhappy one.
Justice Mataitoga gave him two year suspended sentence saying that the family had suffered enough and Deo's child needed him.
Deo killed his wife last year after she told him that she was leaving him for another man.
