A man convicted of breaking into the Interim Prime Ministers office, was sentenced to 3 years in jail by the Suva Magistrates court this morning.

31 year old Etuate Suguturaga, who was also charged with several counts of larceny, office breaking, obtaining money by false pretence, absconding bail, Forgery and attempting to obtain money on forged document, was produced in court under a bench warrant.

He had a total of eight files, all of them of a similar nature.

While sentencing Suguturaga, Magistrate Ajmal Gulab Khan told him that his crimes were well planned and were carried out in a professional manner.

Magistrate Khan also labeled Suguturaga a threat to the public.

Suguturaga was arrested after he broke into Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama's office and stole a Laptop and some other items.

He was arrested while trying to sell the Laptop.
