A man remains unconscious at the Sigatoka hospital after he was found lying in a pool of blood at Mission road in Sigatoka on Saturday night.

Some people who were passing by saw the man lying on the road bleeding from his mouth and ears.

Police do not have the identity of the man and are calling on the members of the public to contact the Sigatoka Police station if anyone is missing from home.

Police suspect the man was allegedly beaten up and thrown on the road.

Meanwhile, a man is in police custody for allegedly being involved in an assault and obstructing a police officer in Nadera yesterday.

It is alleged that he, his son and father-in-law was involved in assaulting a youth during a drinking party at his home.

A police officer attended the scene and was allegedly obstructed by the suspect.

He also resisted arrest.

No charges have been laid so far.
