A man is currently admitted at the CWM Hospital after falling from the first floor of a building while carrying out repair works.

The National Fire Authority Fire Rescue crew attended to the man after receiving an emergency call from a bystander.

According to NFA, at around 10.30am this morning, the man was coming down from the roof after carrying out repair works on the first floor of a new building in Walu Bay, Suva when he fell.

NFA media unit said the man is believed to have suffered internal bodily injuries and is now being treated at the CWM hospital.

Chief Fire Officer Mr Tupou Saubulinayau said now that their fire crew has received training to attend any rescue operation, they will be able to save lives in any emergency.
