A 30 year old man from Nausori died at the CWM hospital this morning after sustaining serious burns in a house fire on the 3rd of this month.
The 6 bedroom house was destroyed in the fire at 10 miles Nausori and family members believe the house was allegedly set on fire.
However, the National Fire Authority and Police are yet to establish the cause of the fire.
A 50 year old pastor who was also in the house during the fire is in a critical condition and remains admitted in the intensive care unit.
Police and National Fire Authority are investigating a fire incident at Qalewaqa Labasa yesterday which landed a farmer in hospital with minor burns and blisters.
According to National Fire Authority they received a call from a passing motorist and when the fire fighters arrived at the scene they saw a cane harvester on fire.
The owner was harvesting sugarcane when the engine compartment of the cane harvester caught.
The owner received some injuries while jumping out of the cane harvester.
Investigations reveal that the cane harvester sustained 80percent damages.
Meanwhile, Labasa Police are investigating the death of 45 year old man in a garage yesterday.
Police say the deceased was using a welding plant when his workmates discovered him lying unconscious.
His workmates informed police of the incident and he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
