A 40 year old man of Korovou has just died with Police calling on the public to exercise caution in this rainy weather.
Jone Namana of Matacaucau village in Korovou died around 3.30 this afternoon after he tried to lift wires from a telephone pole that had just fallen.
Police Commissioner Eastern Emosi Baleinuku has confirmed that the man died as a result of electrocution and police are waiting for the post mortem result.
He is calling on the public to exercise caution during this rainy weather and calls on them to call authorities if they see any fallen lines.
