A 55 year old man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle early this morning while sitting on the road.
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Suliano Tevita confirms that the accident happened at Naviyago Lautoka at around 2 this morning.
The driver is now in police custody while police await the post mortem report.
Police are also looking for the relatives of the deceased.
Meanwhile, the road death toll now stands at 10 compared to 4 for the same period last year.
