A 22-year man of Namaka Nadi died after he was hit by a vehicle at around 12am this morning.
Assistant Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the driver allegedly fled the scene after the accident however he was arrested in Nadi town early this morning.
According to police the deceased was crossing the road when he was hit by the vehicle.
A few people who were on the spot, reported to police after the driver fled and following the information the driver was arrested.
A post mortem is expected to be conducted today while the driver remains in police custody.
