A 36 year old man died while two others are in serious condition at the CWM hospital, after an explosion on the yacht they were repairing.
Assistant Police Spokesperson Sergeant Suliano Tevita said the incident took place at around 7.30 last night in Walu Bay when the three were doing maintenance work on a yacht.
According to police, while the three were working there was an explosion on the deck, the 36 year old died instantly while two others sustained serious injuries.
Police are working with the National Fire Authority to establish what caused the explosion.
A post mortem will be conducted later today.
