Man dies after being assualted
Assistant Police Spokesperson, Corporal Josaia Weicavu has confirmed the 52yr-old and his nephew went to Nadi to visit relatives when an argument developed.
In the process he was assaulted by one of the family members. He got into his car and drove few meters when he collapsed and died.
He was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Nadi hospital.
Police await the post mortem report pending investigations.
Meanwhile, Police are looking for a 44-yr-old man of Qalele, Tagitagi, Tavua who is believed to have drowned while trying to cross a flooded river.
He was last seen yesterday afternoon when he went to untie his cows to move them to higher ground due to heavy downfall in Tavua.
He is believed to have crossed a flooded river to untie his cows when he disappeared.
A Police search party with the help of Qalele Community members started searching for him yesterday. The search is still continuing.
