A 47 year old man of Navua died after he was struck with a cane knife in Navua yesterday afternoon.
Regional Police Commander Southern, SSP Ravi Narayan has confirmed that a 65 year old man is in custody and is under interrogation.
SSP Narayan said they are arranging for a post mortem exam which will decide their next course of action in the investigation.
It is alleged that the victim and the suspect had an argument following which the 65 year old allegedly attacked the 47 year old with a cane knife.
He was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Navua hospital.
