A 30 year old man is expected to appear in Nasinu Magistrate Court tomorrow charged with 3 counts of larceny of Postal Packets.

The suspect employed as a driver at Post Fiji Mail Center, Laucala Beach Estate used to deliver mails to other Post Offices and when delivering mail, the suspect used to open and steal contents in the mails.

The incident took place between last year December to January this year.

Police are asking members of the public who have expected to receive mails from relatives but are yet to receive them to call in at Valelevu Police Station and to identify some items which were recovered from the suspect.  

Meanwhile, police have interviewed and released a driver who was involved in accident in Korovuto Nadi yesterday.

According to Police the driver was heading towards Nadi when a 10 year old boy suddenly ran across the vehicle and was hit by the vehicle.

The victim has been admitted in hospital.
