Man charged for trespassing sent to St Giles
Utiko Nabunobuno appeared before Magistrate Mary Muir after Police charged him for allegedly breaking into a Samabula house and selling furniture worth $710 which belonged to the owner of the house.
The Court heard that between 30th August to the 1st of August, Nabunobuno allegedly broke into the house then would go and sell furniture before returning to the house to spend the night.
Police are believed to have recovered clothing belonging to the accused who claimed that the house was his. The Court heard the accused i s a Schizophrenic patient.
Police Prosecutor Yasin Ali asked the Court for the accused to be sent to Saint Giles as he had informed the Court that he was a very rich man and did not need Legal Aid lawyers.
The Court also heard that the accused is a former 2 time patient of the Psychiatric Hospital.
