Police have laid charges against a man who allegedly caused the death of a 12 year old student in Khalsa Road on Friday morning.
Director Traffic SSP Mahesh Mishra confirmed the driver has been charged with Causing Death by Dangerous driving and Dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
He was charged last night by Valelevu police and is expected to appear in the Nasinu Magistrates court tomorrow (Monday).
He allegedly lost control of his rental car which went off the road and hit 12 year old Ateca Katonivualiku and her 10 year old brother.
Ateca died on the spot while her brother is still fighting for his life.
