Navua Police have laid charges against a 46 year old man of Vatuwaqa, who is alleged to have killed and buried his 8 year old son in the bushes of Serua in mid July.
Deputy Director Police Operations SP Erami Raibe has confirmed that the man was charged with one count of murder last night.
The charges were laid following the post mortem which was conducted yesterday.
He is expected to appear in court this morning.
Some villagers of Vuniniu in Serua located the man hiding in the bushes and upon questioning, he allegedly confessed to them about killing and burying his son.
