The 40yr old man of Reservoir Rd who was in custody for allegedly killing his 32yr old de-facto wife on Thursday afternoon has been charged.
Sergeant Suliano Tevita said the man has been charged with one count of murder and is to appear in court on Monday.
It is alleged that the incident happened after an argument between the two.
The man allegedly got hold of a cane knife and struck her several times.
A post mortem conducted revealed that woman died of excessive blood loss due to multiple stab wounds.
