The 39 year old man who is alleged to have brutally killed a 2 year old girl in Momi, Nadi on Friday night has been charged by Police.
Assistant Spokesperson Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri had confirmed that the suspect has been charged with one count of murder, one count of rape and one count of wrongful confinement.
He will appear in the Nadi Magistrates court this morning.
It is alleged the man abducted the girl and later killed her.
A post mortem revealed the 2 year old died of strangulation and had some physical injuries on her body.
