A 59-year-old man has been charged with murder and a second count of attempted arson.
The man appeared in a special sitting in the Labasa court today.
According to police, the man is alleged to have murdered a 78-year-old farmer of Nakelemoto settlement, in Bua on Monday, following which he is also alleged to have attempted setting fire to the deceased’s home.
Meanwhile, investigation continues in the case of the fatal accident that killed two people in Bua.
Police are also awaiting a post mortem report.
