Police have taken a 40 year old man into custody who was allegedly caught with a parcel containing white powder yesterday afternoon at the Nadi International Airport main gate.
The man who is from Nausori was then questioned by the Police Border Control Officers and later in the afternoon a raid was conducted at a hotel at Wailoaloa beach where some capsules filled with white powder were discovered.
Police Spokesperson, Atunaisa Sokomuri said they have Police experts in Suva who are currently analysing the white powder.
Meanwhile, a man was arrested in Lautoka city yesterday afternoon for being in possession of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
Police say the man brought the dried leaves from Navosa which was to be sold in Lautoka.
