Man appears for disoderly behaviour
It is alleged that on 1st of this month, Charles James Niumaia Sassen was involved in a fight in front of Pizza King Restaurant opposite Village 6 Cinemas. He tried to punch everyone who came across on the footpath and in the process he tore a bula shirt valued $18.00.
Police Prosecutor Isikeli Raisuni told the court that a Police Officer who went to attend the report was trying to put Sassen in Police Vehicle when it is alleged that Sassen punched the officer on the jaw, was aggressive and tried to push the officer, when the officer tried to arrest him.
In mitigation his lawyer told the court that he is remorseful, has reconciled with the Police Officer whom he had punched, was looking after his grandparents and promises not to reoffend. He pleaded guilty to the four charges.
He will be sentenced this afternoon.
