A 31 year old man of Lautoka is in police custody for allegedly stabbing his elder brother and his 60 year old mother last night.
Assistant Police Spokesperson Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri said the alleged incident took place when the mother was dishing out dinner for the two brothers.
It is alleged that the 31 year old was unhappy with the quantity of food and had an argument with his elder brother and mother, which later turned into a fist fight.
It is then alleged that he got hold of a kitchen knife and stabbed his elderly mother and brother.
The two sustained serious injuries and are admitted at the Lautoka hospital.
He is expected to be charged soon.
