Police are looking for a man who allegedly raped a 10 year old girl on Saturday.
Divisional Crime Officer Eastern, ASP Aurthur White says the incident happened in Monasavu on Saturday around 9am when the girl was on her way to the shop.
It is alleged that the unidentified man confronted and punched her on her jaw and raped her, however according to ASP White, the medical report does not show that she was raped.
The matter was reported to the police by the girl’s mother.
Investigation continues.
