Man allegedly assaults wife
Aseri Masivou Radrodro of Bayview Heights appeared before Magistrate Alofa Seruvatu and was released on strict bail conditions.
It is alleged that Masivou beat up his wife Friday in Mandir street, Nadera after a heated argument.
She became unconscious due to the severe beating and was rushed to the CWM hospital.
Fijivillage News has been told that due to the seriousness of her injuries, she had to be kept at the Intensive Care Unit since last Friday.
Masivou's lawyer, Semi Leweniqila applied for bail stating that the two are separated and Masivou has to look after his three children who are all in Primary School.
Magistrate Alofa Seruvatu released him on $300 bail and ordered him not to interfere with any prosecution witnesses and the victim.
The case has been deferred till the 22nd of this month where a plea will be taken and full disclosures will be served.
