Police have questioned and released a man who failed to stop his Pajero at a checkpoint in Keyasi, Sigatoka on Friday night.
Police say the driver approached the check point but did not stop and the tyres of the Pajero were badly damaged from the checkpoint barriers that were placed on the road.
Police Officers than gave a chase and later spotted the Pajero off the road.
Officer's than searched the van but could not find any reason as to why the man refused to stop the vehicle at the Checkpoint.
During questioning the man said he just did'nt wanted to stop his Pajero at the checkpoint. Police are expected to lay charges against him for not stopping at a POlice Checkpoint.
