Police have taken a 37 year old man into custody for allegedly striking another man with a cane knife late Tuesday night in Dreketi.
Assistant Police PRO Corporal Suliano Tevita said the 36 year old man was talking to a friend in the neighborhood when the suspect is alleged to have struck him with a cane knife on his leg after alleging that he attempted to steal chickens from his compound.
The man is admitted in the Labasa Hospital with serious injuries while police are expected to charge the 37 year old man later today.
