A 24 year old man lost his life on the road this morning after the car he was driving collided with an oncoming car in Martintar, Nadi.
Police have confirmed the man who works for City Security was on his way to Lautoka when he lost control of the car and smashed into the oncoming vehicle.
Police said it was raining heavily during the time of the accident.
The man was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
A message to all motorists, please drive carefully during this weather condition and do not try to cross roads or bridges which are flooded.
